So You Want to Send a Parcel Abroad — Here's How We Actually Do It
Maybe your bhai just had a baby in London and you want to send Indian sweets. Maybe your daughter in Toronto is missing aai's pickle. Or maybe you're a small business owner shipping orders to clients in Dubai. Whatever the reason — sending parcels internationally from Dombivali or Kalyan really doesn't have to be complicated.
We've been doing this since 2005 from our office in Andheri East, with our riders rolling through Dombivali, Kalyan, Thane, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur — all the way out to Titwala. Door pickup is free. You don't have to step out.
First Question: Can You Even Send It?
Most things are fine — clothes, dry food, documents, gifts, medicines, electronics. Some destinations get fussy about specific items though. The UK is strict about meat products. Dubai has rules around alcohol and certain medicines. The USA is particular about agricultural items like seeds and certain dry fruits.
Don't worry about memorising all this. Just send us a WhatsApp before you pack and we'll tell you straight up whether it'll go through or not. Saves you the trouble of repacking later — which trust us, happens more often than people admit.
The Packing Bit
Here's the honest truth: most parcels that arrive damaged were poorly packed at the source. We see it every week. So if you're packing yourself:
- Use a proper corrugated box — not a leftover Amazon carton that's already been around three times
- Bubble wrap anything fragile, twice over for glass
- Put a layer of plastic inside the box so a little rain on the tarmac doesn't ruin the contents
- Don't leave empty space — fill gaps with paper or cloth so things don't shift around mid-flight
Or just bring it to us unpacked and we'll do it properly at our Andheri East office. Industrial-grade bubble wrap, packing tape, the works. Most of our regulars prefer this — it's worth the extra few minutes.
What Documents You'll Need
For any international shipment from India, the basic paperwork is straightforward:
- Aadhaar or passport copy of the sender (that's you)
- Recipient's full name, complete address, and phone number — the phone number is crucial because couriers in some countries call before delivering
- A simple list of what's inside the box — we'll help you write this
- If you're a business sending commercial items, a basic invoice
That's it. We handle everything else — customs declarations, airline paperwork, partner-carrier handoff at the destination. The boring stuff is our problem, not yours.
Booking the Pickup
WhatsApp us on 9320642999 with your area and roughly when you'll be home. Our rider swings by, picks up the parcel, weighs it on his portable scale, and hands you a receipt with your AWB tracking number right then and there. From that moment, you can watch the parcel move anywhere in the world from our website.
What Will It Cost & How Long Will It Take?
Honest answer: depends on where and what. Dubai is the fastest — usually 3 to 5 days door-to-door. UK and USA run 5 to 8 working days. Australia and New Zealand sit around 7 to 10. Rates depend on weight and destination, but you'll find we're competitive across the board. The rate we quote on WhatsApp is the rate you pay. No hidden surcharges, no surprises at delivery.
If you're unsure whether to send something or not, just ask. We've seen pretty much every scenario over the past two decades. Call 9320642999 any day between 9am and 8pm — a real person picks up.
